Metropolitana Milanese SpA MM, the Joint Stock company controlled by the Milan City Council is an engineering company, founded in 1955 to design and construct the lines of the Milan underground railway. It has became the Italian leader in the sector of civil engineering works and urban and extra-urban railway lines, and of large public works in general. Since July 2003 MM has been in charge of Milan’s Integrated Water Service (water capture and purification for the water supply, and disposal and purification of waste water). In Milan MM has until now completed the “turnkey” construction of the entire metropolitan underground water supply network with its three lines for a total length of 72 km and 84 stations, as well as the entirely underground urban section of the Underground Railway Link, 10 km long and with 7 stations. Within the sphere of its specialisation sectors, MM supplies services covering the entire cycle of planning, preliminary surveys, executive projects and construction management, up to works management and safety coordination. www.metropolitanamilanese.it |
